Dr. Dawn Childress Named Cook Principal Starting 2025-2026 School Year
We're pleased to announce that Dr. Dawn Childress will join us as the new principal of Cook Elementary, effective for the 2025-26 school year. She brings over 15 years of experience in education and has served as principal of Orr Elementary since 2018. Her prior roles include assistant principal at Woods and Barling Elementary Schools in Fort Smith and at Vian Elementary in Oklahoma. Dr. Childress holds a Doctorate and Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas and is a National Board Certified Teacher.
